Adfonic continues global expansion with launch of Asia Pacific operations and new US West Coast offices

Adfonic now generates over 35 billion ad requests and reaches in excess of 200 million unique mobile users each month  

Global mobile advertising marketplace Adfonic today announces significant milestones in its global expansion plans with the unveiling of new local operations in Singapore and San Francisco. The company is already driving over 8 billion and 12 billion ad requests in the Asia-Pac and US regions respectively. In addition, the company has released its latest growth metrics which demonstrate continued rapid growth and demand for mobile display advertising.

Kartik Ram has been appointed to the position of General Manager Asia Pacific and is based in Singapore where he has overall responsibility for fourteen markets across the Asia-Pac region. Kartik’s role includes growing Adfonic’s base of Asia-Pac mobile inventory including mobile websites and apps. He is also tasked with developing brand and agency relationships in order to drive greater advertising spend from the region through Adfonic’s network.

The company has also invested significantly in the US market with the opening of a new San Francisco office to complement its existing East Coast presence in New York.  The North American region is headed by General Manager James MacDonald who is focused on fostering new business from US brands looking to reach both a US and international audience through mobile advertising.

Victor Malachard, CEO, Adfonic commented: “The last 12 months have seen demand for our mobile advertising services grow significantly and that has fuelled a ten-fold growth in our revenues. The time is now right to invest in new offices for regions where the mobile advertising market has matured and where we need to support large brand, agency and publisher customers.”

He added: “As the impact of new, rich media mobile advertising formats is felt throughout 2012 we anticipate interest in mobile as an advertising medium to grow at an even faster rate. Rich media combines the high engagement experience of a TV advert with the interactivity of a smartphone and offers brands exciting new opportunities to engage with their audiences.”

The opening of the new offices follows Adfonic’s announcement last year that it had received an additional $7.5 million of investment to support the company’s continued growth in North America, Europe and Asia-Pacific. In early 2011 Adfonic opened offices in Paris and New York and in November 2011 offices were opened in Madrid, Spain which also serve Latin America.
